Forex News - U.S.: Consumer confidence in the economy rose sharply in October

The index of economic optimism among consumers improved by 2.2 points (4.2%) in October, posting 54 against 21.8 in September. This index is a compilation of sub-components, the most important are:

Outlook-6 months: + 7.1% to 59.1

-Personal Financial Perspectives: + 3.4% to 60.5

Confidence in government economic policy: 1.9% to 42.4

It is evident from this study that the U.S. have more confidence in their ability to effectively manage their finances in the government to create jobs and growth.

This survey of a representative sample of the U.S. population (1000 respondents), also shows that the vast majority of social class respondents gained optimism this month.
